QUICKIE featuring The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

In this short episode, we look at what our host, Erin, is reading now, what new books have been added to her queue, and a short review of the book The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.  This book is about a black 16-year old girl who lives in two worlds, the poor neighborhood she was born into and the suburban, mostly white school she attends. This book packed a punch and Erin goes deep on why this book meant so much to her and why it's important to suspend your opinions and biases when reading.
